Donald Auberon Bullough (1928-2002) was Professor of Medieval History at the University of St Andrews from 1973-1991. He was educated at Newcastle under Lyme High School, then St John's College, Oxford (BA 1950, MA 1952). He was made a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society in 1958, Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries in 1968 and Fellow of the Royal Philatelic Society of London in 1993.
